This week’s wallpaper is an 18th century documentary print from Pierre Frey that feels incredibly current in the 21st century.
Here, Mark Hampton uses Toile de Nantes on the walls (and the matching fabric on the upholstery) of a bedroom in Estee Lauder’s East Hampton home in the late 70’s. It is the same house now lived in by her granddaughter, Aerin and her family. See another image of this room, via Elle Decor.com.
And here, Celerie Kemble uses the same statement paper in a New York apartment, proving it’s befitting in both town and country!
