This week’s paper comes from Schumacher’s Nest Collection: twenty four different wallcoverings, each handcrafted from all natural feathers. While we selected Chesapeake Topaz for today (how insanely gorgeous are those colors?), it’s worth a look at the entire collection with a full range of colors and small scale patterns – all from hand-applied feathers!
Below is “Clearwater – Blue Heron,” a similar pattern to Chesapeake above, yet crafted from a more tonal range of feathers. The photo gives a good sense of the scale of both papers as installed. And, as of a couple of weeks ago, one of the Nest papers was installed on one wall in the Schumacher showroom at the D&D Building…a good place to check out the rich texture of this wallcovering in person if you’re in the NYC area. Definitely a wow!
