In the past few weeks, we’ve gotten email inquiries about the painting above, found on our website – who is it?? Now in the Cunningham personal collection, it was found at the Fall 2010 New York Affordable Art Fair – an event we highly recommend!
While photos can NOT do it justice, all of Peter Arvidson’s work are developed through a rectilinear grid of tiny individual squares – each little square created from hundreds of layers of paint (detail seen above). The effect is pure glossy gorgeousness in the most brilliant colors.
Peter Arvidson’s work can be purchased through a gallery on the Cape, in Provincetown, called Rice/Polak Gallery – a spot we also highly recommend. Marla, one of the owners, could not be nicer.
