Pantone 2013 Color of the Year, photo via Washington Post
While the Pantone color of the year has been the talk of the town – and yes, we’re loving you Emerald – we also think Oxblood red (seen heavily already in the fashion world) is worth keeping top of mind these days for interiors.
Here’s a great oxblood saturated room in the Kurbits Cottage at The Maidstone hotel in East Hampton, NY (see a great design write-up on The Maidstone here, from Hotel Chic Blog). We love how this rich color translates to a light, airy and whimsical Hamptons cottage, showing the true versatility of this hue.
This photo proof positive: oxblood red and turquoise are a winning combination.
